The handover
What exactly happens at the departure hall
You drive to the Departure Passage at Schiphol, between Departure Halls 2 and 3. Our driver is waiting there and has already received your details digitally: which car, which flight, and what time you're due back.
Together you walk around the car and its condition is recorded. The driver then takes the key and you sign for the handover. From that moment you walk on to the check-in desk while your car heads to our secured car park.
The journey there isn't a blind spot: route, speed and duration are digitally recorded, so afterwards it's clear exactly what happened to your car — including on the return trip to the Departure Passage. Read how we record every journey.

From booking to your return
Book in advance
Book online and provide your flight details. Book valet parking at least one hour ahead.
Drive to the departure hall
You drive straight to the Departure Passage at Schiphol, between Departure Halls 2 and 3.
Our driver is waiting for you
They've received your details digitally and know which car and which flight are yours.
A walk-round together
Your car's condition is recorded before we take it over. You sign for the handover.
We park it, you walk on
Your car goes to our secured car park. The journey there is digitally recorded.
Back between Departure Halls 2 and 3
Call us after landing. Your car is waiting in the same spot as when you left it, and the return trip is recorded too.
Valet or shuttle
When valet parking is worth it
Valet parking is the pricier of our two services, and that difference buys exactly one thing: you don't have to go to a car park. You drive up to the hall, step out and walk in.
That matters most when time or convenience is what counts — an early business flight, young children and lots of luggage, or limited mobility. If you have more time and are watching the cost, then shuttle parking is the logical choice: you park it yourself and keep your key.

Questions about valet parking
Where do I hand over my car for valet parking?
You drive to the Vertrekpassage, Vertrekhal 1e verdieping — tussen Vertrekhal 2 en 3. Our driver will be waiting there and takes over your car.
How far in advance should I book valet parking?
Book valet parking at least one hour before the handover, so we can schedule a driver for you.
Who drives my car?
One of Parking Schiphol's own drivers. Before the handover we walk around the car together and note its condition; you then sign for the handover.
What happens to my key?
Your key is kept in a fireproof safe under CCTV monitoring and is only used to park your car and bring it back.
Is the journey with my car logged?
Yes. Every valet trip has its route, speed and duration digitally recorded — both on the way to our car park and on the way back to the Departure Passage.
Where do I collect my car afterwards?
In the same spot as when you left it: the Departure Passage between Departure Halls 2 and 3. Call us after landing and we'll bring your car to you.
